Weather in Turin
The
weather in Turin turns from cold and foggy in winter to hot and humid
during the summer months.
The city's proximity to the alps means that many locals
head for the ski slopes at weekends and is the reason for Turin being
chosen to host the 2006 Winter Olympics.
Summer is another matter altogether, hence the popularity
of the bars next to the river Po in an attempt to cool down even slightly.
Although some people head for the coast during summer weekends, relief
is closer to hand - Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta are just 90 minutes from
Turin.
